This Privacy Policy describes how INBEE (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the mobile app AniRead: Manga Review (“AniRead”, “the app”). It is the privacy policy for this app only. It is publicly available on this page. You do not need an account to read it.
AniRead is a catalog and review app for anime and manga information, news, facts, and quotes. It does not ask you to create an account, and it does not provide a login. It does not show advertisements, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
01Information we collect
We collect only the information described below. We do not collect your name, phone number, payment details, contacts, photos, messages, or precise GPS location.
- Information you save in the app. Bookmarks, theme, and language are stored on your device with local app storage. We do not upload that library to an INBEE server.
- Device and app information. Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics receive an app-instance identifier, device model, operating system, app version, language, screen names you open, an app-open event, and crash or diagnostic logs. These are used to understand which screens are used and to fix crashes. We do not set a personal account ID on these reports, because the app has no accounts.
- Approximate location derived from IP address. We do not request location permission and we do not read GPS. Analytics and content servers may infer a coarse location (such as country or city) from your IP address.
- Share and link data. If you share a title, the system share sheet opens. Branch creates a link so it can open the matching screen. Advertising attribution for that link is turned off. We do not send an advertising identifier, and we do not receive your contacts from the share sheet.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, so we can reply and handle privacy requests.
02How we use information
- Show anime and manga catalogs, news, facts, and quotes.
- Remember bookmarks, theme, and language on your device.
- Measure app stability and which screens are used.
- Open shared links on the correct title, article, fact, or quote.
- Deliver app updates and respond to privacy requests.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use your information to build a marketing profile under your name. We do not use the app to mine cryptocurrency, install hidden software, or access data from other apps.
03Service providers
These providers receive the technical data described above. They are not advertising networks.
04Permissions
The Android app requests only these permissions:
- Internet — load catalogs and news.
- Network state — check whether a connection is available before loading content.
The app does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, SMS, phone, or storage of personal files.
05Other services that receive technical data
When the app loads a page, the service that hosts that content receives your IP address and standard request data (such as user agent). We use these services only to display content. AniRead is not affiliated with them or with the publishers of individual series.
- Jikan / MyAnimeList and AniList — catalog, synopses, characters, and reviews
- Anime News Network — news headlines
- Anime facts and Animechan — trivia and quotes
06How long we keep information
- Bookmarks and settings stay on your device until you delete them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app.
- Crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics are kept for the period configured by Firebase, typically up to 90 days.
- Analytics events are kept according to the Firebase Analytics retention setting for this app.
- Branch keeps share-link data under its own policy, linked above. We do not use that data for advertising.
- Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted.
07How to delete information
The app has no user account, so there is no account to delete. You can still remove data:
- Remove bookmarks inside the app, or uninstall the app / clear its storage to delete local bookmarks and settings.
- Email inbeevnmobile@gmail.com with the subject “AniRead privacy request” to ask us to delete analytics or crash data that we can control. Tell us the platform (Android or iOS) and, if you have it, the app-instance identifier. We will respond and delete what we control.
08Children
AniRead is not directed to children under 13, and it is not a “Designed for Families” app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, email us and we will delete it.
09Security and international processing
Catalog and service calls use encrypted connections where the provider supports them. Android backup of app data is turned off. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Google and Branch may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules than your country.
10Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. The same page address will keep serving the current policy. Continued use of the app after an update means you have the updated policy available in the app and on this page.
